Mary Downing Hahn

        I have included this amazing woman as my top featured author because of her profound impact on my life. Mrs. Hahn is a former librarian turned author. Her works range from historical drama to beautifully frightful ghost stories. The majority of Mrs. Hahn's works are directed at a younger audience but she does have some stories that lend themselves to teenagers. Her stories made such an impact on me due to this very reason. I was around 11 or 12 years old when I discovered her stories. I am now 18. I essentially grew up with her stories. My pre-teen years were the best of my reading life due to the reliability and realistic settings of her books. Even now I would read those books that are marketed to a younger audience due to the beauty that they exude.
